The public achievements page exposed 46 entries at the check time. That is the strongest source for what Steam actually displayed, but it can change when achievements are added or removed.
Why launch copy mentioned 47
The launch announcement uses wording that reaches 47. The August 1 hotfix later says an extra in-game Hoarder 2 entry, which was not on Steam, was removed. Together, those sources explain why historical first-party numbers can differ without turning 47 into the current Steam total.
Date every completion checklist
A guide should cite the live page and include its check date. It should also keep Animal Collector and Gotta Collect 'Em All separate because their official conditions track different progress.
